Robert Half Project Accountant in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in Baltimore, Maryland. As an integral part of our team, the Project Accountant will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects. This role involves managing project budgets, tracking costs, recognizing income and preparing client invoices in a construction industry setting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets and track associated costs

• Communicate effectively with Project teams regarding contract documents, change orders and other modifications, approvals, and any additional services related to billing

• Analyze and process job cost and billing data in various systems from initial project set up through close-out

• Maintain project data in project management and job cost (Vista) and collaboration systems

• Verify and prepare subcontractor pay estimates

• Track and bill time & materials (T& M) for customers

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Costpoint, Deltek, Deltek Vision, and About Time

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills

• Knowledge of Viewpoint Spectrum and Viewpoint Vista

• Experience with AIA Billing and AIA Documents

• Familiarity with Construction Projects and Construction Projects - Accounting

• Experience with Commercial Construction Projects

• Proficiency in Project Accounting and Cost Accounting

• Understanding of Construction Cost, Cost - Job, Cost Analysis, Cost Centers, and Cost Control

• Ability to provide Cost Estimates and manage Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas, Excel VBA, and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close and General Ledger

• Skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Account Reconciliation, and Daily Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Expense Reconciliation

• Experience with Adjusting Journal Entries, Journal Entries, and Journal Entry Preparation

• Ability to handle Month-end Journal Entries, Ledger Journal Entries, Post Journal Entries, and Prepare Journal Entries
