University of Maryland, Baltimore Postdoctoral Fellowship: Pharmacoepidemiology & Health Outcomes Research in Baltimore, Maryland

The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Sciences, and Health Outcomes Research (PSHOR) has an exciting Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity for two (2) qualified candidates.Fellowships within P-SHOR provide multidisciplinary, advanced training and prepare fellows for positions in academia, government, the pharmaceutical industries, and consulting. Training includes, but is not limited to, mentored research, grant writing, and teaching experiences. * * Discipline: *Pharmacoepidemiology & Health Outcomes Research* Location: *University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Baltimore, MD *Start date: *Negotiable* Salary: *$61,008 – $74,088 (Commensurate with NIH stipend levels, education, and experience) *Benefits: *https://www.umaryland.edu/hrs/benefits/* * * * * Job Description: Under the leadership of Drs.dos Reis, Camelo-Castillo, and Amil-Rosario,the postdoctoral fellow will: * Engage in quantitative analytic research funded by federal agencies, the state of Maryland, and corporate agencies. * Work closely with academic and state stakeholder partners to address a range of research questions on medication safety, medication outcomes, health disparities, and social determinants of health. * Apply advanced pharmacoepidemiology methodological and statistical methods as well as longitudinal and multi-level analyses. * Develop protocols, oversee research data collection, prepare reports and presentations, and webinars and have opportunities to present research at national and international professional meetings and to publish first-authored manuscripts. A PhD is required, and training in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology is preferred. A competitive candidate will have strong quantitative analytical skills, experience analyzing large administrative databases, and advanced skills in programming language in SAS and R.
