This full time, 40 hour per week, 6-month contract is to help alleviate an excess of medical records sorting tasks for the organization's Health Information Department. This contract may be extended in the event that workload continues to increase beyond capacity This role involves accurately sorting and categorizing medical records for efficient electronic storage and retrieval from internal systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the confidentiality and integrity of patient information, and will adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal policies. Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, with 1 year experience in Medical Records, Radiology or combination.

  • Working knowledge of release of information state, federal, and local regulations.

  • Experience with electronic medical records and scanning highly preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

salary: $20 - $23 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Organize and sort incoming medical records into designated categories.

• Maintain accurate and clear records of all sorted documents.

  • Verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ensure all records are stored security to maintain confidentiality.

  • Assist in the creation of portable media for both inbound ingestion and outbound consumption.

  • Complete daily productivity spreadsheets as assigned

  • Perform ongoing quality checks, auditing and reporting of results as assigned
