Oracle Senior Product Manager in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle Student Cloud isOracle s next-generation, cloud-based SIS designed for all academic modelsacross every stage of the modern student lifecycle.

Thisrole is for aBusiness Analyst/Functional Designerresponsible for defininguser stories and specifications for SFP, while working closely with bothinternal teams (e.g., product strategy, product management, development, UX,marketing, internal sales reps, consultants, development etc.) and externalaudiences (e.g., customers, analysts, system integrators/partners, etc.)

Theposition is located in the US and offers the opportunity to work primarilyremotely from anywhere in the US, with limited travel requirements.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Work closely with otherSPF PM team members, other internal SMEs, and customers to understandhigh-level requirements and break them down into detailed user stories.

  • Analyzing andintegrating external customer requirements into the product.

  • Suggest and justifyproduct directions and requirements.

  • Working and influencingvarious development teams, scrum masters, and stakeholders to ensure theproduct is developed and delivered as planned.

  • Analyze competitivesolutions and research new knowledge areas when needed.

  • Synthesize federal,state and other financial regulations into product requirements and designs.

  • Write detailed featuredesign specifications, including overall page-level functions, field-level behaviors,business rules, impact areas, and error messages.

  • Present feature designsto stakeholders, team members, and others to gather feedback.

  • Identify role-based userprocess flows and create process flowcharts.

  • Collaborate closely withUser Experience staff to create high-fidelity visual designs and prototypes.

  • Collaborate closely withdevelopment teams to answer questions and make design decisions.

  • Work with technicalleads to determine feasibility of feature designs.

  • Assist in defining andprioritizing the product roadmap.

  • Review end-userdocumentation for accuracy.

  • Test features to ensurethey are coded according to the design.

  • Investigate productdefects and recommend solutions.

Requirements include:

  • Knowledge of HigherEducation industry, specifically Financial Aid/Federal Student Aid, a plus.

  • Familiarity withAtlassian JIRA and Confluence a plus.
