Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical, air, water, and mud systems. This role involves working with various industrial equipment, including pumps and air systems, and requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain electrical, air, water, and mud systems.
  • Perform phase and motor rotation, wire mud and pumps, and utilize proper cable fitting techniques.
  • Repair components such as mud pumps, air systems, and water systems.
  • Conduct basic welding, cutting, and grinding for equipment builds and maintenance.
  • Rebuild centrifugal pumps and align with motors.
  • Maintain and perform basic repairs on 120Vac and 480Vac systems.
  • Execute basic wiring tasks, including cutting, stripping, and wiring electrical plugs.
  • Handle systems testing and pressure testing equipment.
  • Read PandIDs and basic single line diagrams.
  • Support the build of new equipment units.
  • Conduct occasional equipment preparation tasks like washing, painting, and setup.
  • Communicate professionally with company representatives and customers.
  • Complete all required safety training and adhere to safety standards.
  • Perform occasional overnight travel to service equipment on customer drilling rig sites.
  • 5+ years of general maintenance and/or electrical experience with industrial equipment.
  • Experience with oilfield service, oilfield tools, electrical, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in welding, cutting tools, and heavy labor.
  • Experience as a Motorman or Derrickman is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of motor repair and maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
