Robert Half HR Generalist in Bakersfield, California

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a HR Generalist in Bakersfield, California. This role involves a variety of responsibilities related to human resources and administrative duties within the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and welcoming guests upon their arrival at the office

• Directing visitors to the appropriate person and office

• Screening, answering, and forwarding incoming phone calls

• Ensuring the reception area is well-maintained and stocked with necessary stationery and materials

• Providing basic and accurate information to inquiries in-person and via phone/email

• Monitoring office security by adhering to safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk

• Maintaining an inventory of front office supplies and placing orders when necessary

• Updating calendars and scheduling meetings

• Arranging travel and accommodations, and preparing vouchers

• Keeping updated records of office expenses and costs

• Carrying out other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing

• Posting Accounts Payables

• Reviewing timecards and processing payroll

• Carrying out HR administrative duties

• Utilizing skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations, Receptionist Duties, and Answering Inbound Calls. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Experience in using HRMS, Ceridian, and About Time software

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Knowledge of legal standards and compliance in HR field

• Proven experience in Employee Relations

• Ability to handle Receptionist Duties and Answering Inbound Calls

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

• Strong problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to maintain confidential information

• Detail-oriented and organized

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
