Dignity Health Chest Pain Program Coordinator in Bakersfield, California

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds 48 licensed critical care beds 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. Responsibilities

This position involves the coordination of clinical management of the cardiac patient population across the entire continuum of care. Serves as a leader for the chest pain program performance and improvement initiatives. Acts as a clinical resource and a role model for all areas caring for cardiac patients. Provides and/or coordinates educational activities for both staff and patients. Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on cardiac topics. Collaborates in the development and delivery of cardiac care for the Dignity Health Bakersfield market

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years clinical experience within the last 5 years in the acute care setting. Cardiac, Emergency Department and/or Critical Care nursing experience is required.

  • Current CA RN license; BLS, must be AHA.

  • Must possess leadership and communication skills to coordinate an interdisciplinary stroke team; public speaking experience desirable; working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay Range

$43.37 - $68.25 /hour
