KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) at embecta, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our Diabetes business in Germany. You will manage strategic key accounts within the healthcare sector, build long-term partnerships, and develop tailored solutions along the patient care pathway. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and serve as the face of embecta in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain long-term business relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and medical specialists in the diabetes field
Full revenue responsibility for assigned accounts and achievement of agreed sales targets
Identify and acquire new strategic B2B customers while managing and expanding existing key accounts
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
Conduct market analyses and monitor competition to identify trends and growth opportunities
Organize and participate in trade fairs, conferences, and training events
Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Marketing, Product Management (matrix structure), and Customer Service to ensure optimal customer experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a comparable qualification
Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or key account management, ideally in the healthcare sector or a related field
In-depth knowledge of diabetes-related products, services, and reimbursement systems
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a confident and professional demeanor
Strong customer focus and the ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships
Willingness to travel and adapt to a dynamic work environment
Fluency in German and good command of English (spoken and written)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Solid understanding of the diabetes and chronic disease market landscape
Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office
Strong planning, analytical, and sales management skills
Team-oriented mindset combined with self-motivation and excellent organizational abilities
Confident communication with decision-makers at all levels
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-changing market environment
