This position will be responsible for influencing decisions in inventory management and purchasing through data-driven analysis and dashboard reporting. The role will focus on optimizing supply chain efficiency across hardware, marketing, and shipping materials by leveraging advanced analytics and visualization tools.

This Supply Chain Analyst will develop and implement programs to enhance operational efficiency, ensure consistency, and drive compliance in alignment with the organization’s strategic business objectives. The role involves defining best practices, analyzing data for forecasting and planning decisions, and driving process improvements.

Detailed Description

As a member of Oracle’s Manufacturing and Distribution organization, you will support global supply chain initiatives through data analytics, reporting, and strategic purchasing insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Shared Services, Accounting, and Procurement, to ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities.

Duties and tasks are performed independently within defined policies and procedures. Attention to detail, ability to manage large datasets, and strong follow-through skills are critical for success in this role.

  • Dashboard & Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize key supply chain metrics, including inventory levels, purchasing trends, supplier performance, and material flow.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and optimize global inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess and obsolescence. Perform audits and analyze inventory discrepancies.

  • Purchasing & Procurement: Support procurement decisions by analyzing purchasing data for hardware, marketing materials, and shipping supplies. Generate purchase requisitions and ensure supplier alignment.

  • Forecasting & Demand Planning: Analyze trends to forecast demand across various business units, ensuring optimal inventory and purchasing strategies.

  • Financial & Compliance Reporting: Provide financial reports and KPIs to management; conduct cost-benefit analyses on supply chain decisions. Work with finance and tax teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in supply chain operations and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manufacturing and Distribution organization worldwide (JAPAC, EMEA, LAD, NA).

  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards for inventory, purchasing, and supply chain performance tracking.

  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to drive cost-saving opportunities and improve supply chain efficiency.

  • Create and manage purchase requisitions for various business needs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Conduct financial analysis and present data-driven recommendations to management.

  • Lead strategy meetings to optimize supply chain planning and purchasing processes.

  • Track inbound and outbound shipments and collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries through inventory management.

  • Conduct trend analysis and forecasting to optimize supply planning for hardware, marketing, and shipping materials to prevent shortages or excess stock.

  • Implement and enhance procurement and inventory management processes through automation and best practices.

  • Work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and operations teams to align supply chain initiatives with company goals.

  • Identify areas for automation and process improvements to streamline purchasing and inventory management

  • Implement process and procedures to enhance business productivity

  • Evaluate vendor performance, cost efficiencies, and lead times with suppliers

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations Management, Procurement, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in supply chain analytics, purchasing, or inventory management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, VLOOKUP) and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, or similar).

  • Experience working with large datasets and creating automated reporting solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving thinking and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Helpful Experience/ Knowledge

  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms

  • Experience with supply chain dashboard tools

  • Background in forecasting models, demand planning, and purchasing analytics

  • Familiarity with database query languages (SQL) for data extraction and analysis.

  • Understanding of global supply chain complexities, including lead times, customs regulations, and supplier risk management.

  • Knowledge of Confluence or similar collaboration tools.

  • Experience in logistics and warehouse operations is a plus.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $24.62 to $48.03 per hour; from: $51,200 to $99,900 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
