Description

Amazon Robotics - Global Edge Compute is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large cross-organizational initiatives for edge compute, data center infrastructure engineering, production printing and automation for Amazon’s fulfillment centers worldwide. The number of devices in Amazon Fulfillment is always growing and the services supporting these devices need to scale with the business. Would you enjoy leading projects and collaborating with other teams to manage 1M+ edge compute devices around the world? If so, Amazon Robotic's Global Edge Compute team may be right for you.

As the Senior TPM of the Global Edge Compute team, you will lead projects to build services to consistent patterns for devices worldwide. You will drive the roadmap to build for the long term, but build incrementally to provide progressive gains. You will anticipate the business needs and create flexible services that can satisfy the known requirements today, but also future requirements not yet invented. Your leadership and guidance will ensure high standards. The scope of worldwide edge compute is vast and offers the opportunity for you to contribute to the strategy and see the roadmap come to fruition.

Our mission is to design systems and platforms that set the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost, enabling our customer fulfillment and logistics operations to deliver customer orders on time, every time.

As a Senior TPM you will:

Partner with lead engineers and engineering managers to ensure designs meet requirements and high standards for availability, resiliency, latency, observability and automated management.

Partner with engineering managers on delivery best practices - from long term initiative decomposition to ensuring sprints are aligned with deliverables.

Meet with stakeholders regularly to ensure solutions are meeting the needs of the business.

Participate in strategic planning, brainstorm improvements, and work to uphold the quality bar across the organization.

Create and maintain project roadmaps, deliverables and dependencies. Rely on your best-of-class organizational skills to ensure no stone goes unturned and no deliverable is left untracked.
