Schwab is seeking a dynamic .NET and Angular UI Lead Engineer with a passion for technology and excellence. As part of the transformation of how the world invests, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment, developing high-quality, high-performance, scalable software. The position involves a balanced mix of design, leadership, and hands-on coding, focused on our mission-critical Authentication platform. This role requires a consistent track record in leading a development team and ensuring that software products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

This is an opportunity to lead at the forefront of financial technology innovation within a team that values innovative practices and delivering exceptional software solutions.

In this role, you will be:

• Leading the development team to deliver software products from inception to production

• Leading daily activities, promoting Agile practices, and coordinating with key collaborators to meet project deadlines and budget

• Estimating development sizing and costs and collaborating with the Scrum Master and product owner for efficient task prioritization

• Ensuring quality through automated testing and TDD and integrating SSO to interconnect various internal and external systems

• Driving release process improvements, assisting the Scrum Master with team needs, and synchronizing team efforts for seamless product releases

• Providing mentorship and hands-on coding support to the team

• Proactively identifying risks, establishing mitigation plans, and maintaining documentation and code quality standards

• Engaging with both onshore and offshore teams to refine development practices

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Passion for creating usable, scalable software, and expertise in designing and deploying enterprise applications with C#, .NET, and Angular in multi-threaded environments

• A minimum of 8 years of software development experience with at least 5 years as Lead and/or Architect

• Proficiency with MongoDB, SAML, OAuth, REST Web Services, and transaction processing environments

• In-depth knowledge of Agile principles, object-oriented analysis, design patterns, and server-side application development

• Autonomous, creative, and efficient problem-solver

• Excellent understanding of current Architecture and Development Standards

• Adept at mentoring and directing junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in online security and user authentication

• Technical proficiencies with Java and Kafka
