The Opportunity

*This person will translate ideas formed from qualitative and quantitative data into business cases with highlights on expectations and known + unknown risks. They will be a self-starter, doesn’t need micro-management, and is driven.

You will be utilizing traditional process improvement methodologies along with the latest automation tools to help our business partners optimize their operations with a focus on exceptional service for our customers. Optimization services include process improvement, automation, optimization of sourcing partners, organizational structure realignment and business integration management.

The Work Itself

  • Support evaluation of business operations to determine best improvement options including automation, process improvement, sourcing changes and realignment of resources
  • Identify business benefits, create business case and benefit realization plan for improvement projects
  • Define & manage project plan
  • Support the development KPIs in collaboration with business leadership to measure operational performance and project success
  • Assist organizational leadership in evaluating and optimizing management routines
  • Collaborate with business experts to identify automation opportunities
  • Collaborate with business, IT and matrix partners to ensure design of automation is clearly understood and all stakeholders are aligned
  • Facilitate the automation feasibility and complexity analysis
  • Build comprehensive business case to assist in prioritizing automation opportunities
  • Document current state process
  • Build & document automation design
  • Create Proof of Concept
  • Create architecture design framework
  • Confirm architecture design with shared governance
  • Determine virtual machine capacity requirements
  • Coordinate regular demos to confirm functionality
  • Build user acceptance test plan
  • Identify and document reporting requirements
  • Assist operations in implementing analytical routines to evaluate success of automation and look for improvement opportunities
  • Follow Apex/Agile development life cycle principles to develop and maintain automation project plans
  • Gain approvals at appropriate tollgates
  • Ensure successful automation rollout
  • Facilitate the evaluation of risks and controls associated with all improvement implementations
  • Assist in building action plans to address risks and implement controls
  • Track and update business cases from evolution of design through post implementation
  • Collaborate with operational leadership and subject matter experts to build and align change management plan

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2 + years in customer service or financial services industry is desired.
  • 2 years’ experience in participating on project improvement teams in a financial institution is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates success in team leadership and project management with a proven track record of successfully implementing change within an organization.
  • Experience in leading cross functional projects.
  • Demonstrates ability to document processes utilizing Visio or other process management tools, produce documents, spreadsheets, etc. with Windows-based software
  • Strong consultative, influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills: ability to conduct presentations to individuals and groups including executive leadership.
  • Ability to provide leadership to many teams assigned to multiple projects while under heavy deadlines and constantly changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with Project Teams, as well as Ally’s Auto Finance staff and management.
  • Aptitude for data analytics and tools, including ability to build PowerBI reports and dashboards is a plus.
  • Experience in the development of Robotic Process Automation technology preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Process optimization certification strongly desired (Certified Process Professional, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • RPA Developer Certification preferred
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification desired
  • Strong working proficiency with the Automation Anywhere platform desired
  • 2+ years’ experience in data analytics
  • Strong working proficiency with PowerBi and other Data Analytics tools (R, Python, SQL) desired
  • Proficiency in use of process mining tools i.e. Celonis desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to effectively communicate technical details to a non-technical audience (i.e. Leadership, 3rd party vendors etc.) as well as produce clear and concise written documentation
  • Willingness and ability to use their existing knowledge to understand how to develop automated processes
  • Ability to methodically identify, analyze, and resolve business and technical problems
  • Ability to effectively contribute on complex assignments and assume increasingly greater leadership roles / responsibilities
  • Self-motivated to own and solve difficult challenges and ability to motivate others
  • Detail-oriented individual who can be relied upon to produce accurate deliverables
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork to achieve mutual objectives by informing and involving others in solving problems and implementing changes

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 70000

Experienced: 95000

Expert: 120000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
