Who You Are

As an experienced senior CAD Physical Design Engineer in the core CPU group, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, debugging, and supporting tools, flows and methodologies covering backend physical design verification (PV) methodologies and flow automation for high performance standard cell based blocks and full chip level using industry standard extraction and static timing analysis CAD tools.

  • Performing signoff for static timing analysis on timing paths, electrical rule checking and parasitic extraction.

  • Working closely with design teams to understand and debug complex design issues and constraints and enable designers with innovative solutions.

  • Working with industry EDA vendors to explore, build and enhance tool capabilities to design a high-speed, low-power synthesizable CPU.

  • Creating documentation and help with guidelines/specs and provide training.

  • Communicating with other team members to solve problems and following solutions through to completion

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Hands on experience with scripting languages for design flow development, and design exploration

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering 4+ years of relevant working experience -OR- Master's Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering 3+ years of relevant working experience

  • Experience in Industry CAD tools (static timing analysis, parasitic extraction)

  • Experience in High-Speed Digital Design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industry standard static analysis tools and parasitic extraction tools.

  • Experience in standard cell based high speed digital design environment.

  • Experience with Industry CAD tools such as Primetime, starrcxt.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$161,230.00-$227,620.00

S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
