Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Austin, TX. This long-term contract position involves leading operational analyses, overseeing compliance initiatives, and guiding project teams to ensure organizational success. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and modify internal North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) procedures for Operations and Planning (OP) as assigned.
· Update and submit personnel changes to the Compliance and Excellence (CE) Team’s Roles and Responsibility (RR) matrix for all NEET operating companies.
· Support the migration of procedures into NEET’s new Document Management Platform.
· Create and modify Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) to produce audit-ready documentation.
· Conduct Sustainability Assessments including evidence review and coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
· Perform additional tasks as assigned, including MIDAS reporting and supporting Order 881 Ambient Adjusted Ratings implementation readiness.
· Conduct statistical analyses and coordinate initiatives with other business units.
· Review, approve, and present findings to senior management.
· Mentor and coach lower-level analysts to strengthen the department's capabilities.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred).
· 8+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, compliance, or related operational roles.
· 3+ years of experience in NERC Operations and Planning standards compliance or utility compliance.
· Demonstrated experience building and executing a NERC OP compliance program.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in technical writing.
· Strong project management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
· Familiarity with compliance software tools and document management platforms.
· Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Key role experience at a NERC Regional Entity or a Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) is highly desirable.
· Strong technical knowledge of NERC standards, audit processes, and reliability compliance requirements.
· Experience supporting document migrations and regulatory filings.
