Oversee all administrative functions at the Center to ensure smooth operations. In consultation with the College of Liberal Arts Central Business Services, manage all procedures related to hiring, budget, and accounting. In partnership with the CAAS Director, manage events, student scholarships, social media, website, and newsletter.Working closely with the Director, UT administrators, faculty and students to develop, plan, implement and evaluate programs promoting better understanding of Asian American issues and increasing participation and support for these programs.Work the College of Liberal Arts staff to administer course scheduling and course inventory for the Center. Advise students about the Asian American studies major, minor, graduate portfolio and career options. Participate in campus and community outreach programs by representing the Center at meetings with students, faculty, community members, and administrators.Student Advising -- Advise undergraduate students on degree plans for Asian American Studies majors and minors. Recruit majors with outreach efforts. Support Director with Graduate Portfolio.Coordinate associated programming with community groups and manage co-sponsorship activities. Develop, design, and disseminate outreach and publicity materials to students, campus communities, and local and national APA organizations. Update the Center website and social media.Hire and supervise student employees and interns and management of work assignments.Attend appropriate professional workshops and trainings as needed.Other related functions as assigned.
