With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages.

We're looking for an experienced program manager to develop and execute on strategies to improve processes related to the business’s support of legal matters, manage compliance, and reduce potential risk. In this role, you'll be responsible for streamlining legal processes for the business, implementing reporting solutions, designing metrics to measure performance, and developing and providing training. You will work with lawyers, paralegals, business analysts, data engineers, and program managers to deep dive issues and potential solutions. You should be passionate about data and solving high-impact, ambiguous, business problems. Successful candidates will be self-directed, detail driven, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and be able to communicate and influence at all levels.

Key job responsibilities

  • Interface with teams across Amazon to identify and analyze the right source of data to respond to legal and compliance matters.

  • Liaise with legal customers to understand how they use data, and provide input and recommendations on technical issues to BI engineers and business analysts.

  • Continually improve data retrieval processes through automation or self-service options.

  • Write and fine tune basic SQL queries for various data requests, monitor/audit for data quality, identify enhancements, and provide ongoing support.

  • Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, prepare project plans, and drive roadmap decisions.

  • Develop and roll-out training for a variety of business audiences.

About the team

As part of the Amazon Flex Policy, Compliance, and Change Management Product and Strategy Team (PC2), the WW Risk & Compliance (WWRC) team builds risk and compliance strategies, and executes regionally appropriate risk assessments and compliance audits that reduce risks associated with the Amazon Flex model globally. WWRC partners with Legal, Regulatory Strategy, Regulatory Product, Evolve Change Management, and regional business teams to surface risks, drive risk mitigation decisions, and ensure risks are closed off in accordance with our business risk tolerance in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
