CVS Health Lead Director, Organization Design in Austin, Texas

The Lead Director, Organization Design, will join the Organization Design Center of Excellence to analyze, design, and advise organization design projects across the CVS Health Enterprise.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
Serve as a trusted advisor to Chief People Officers and Senior Business or Function Leaders (SVP, EVP, ..) across the enterprise to provide organizational design expertise and knowledge.
Partner with Human Resources Business Partners and Business or Function Leaders (VP+) to facilitate and advise organization design projects across the enterprise based on business unit or enterprise specific needs.
Provide a subject matter expert (SME) perspective and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications to organization structures and ways of working ( decision rights, workflows, job descriptions, …).
Draft and develop organization structure and ways of working ( decision rights, workflows, job descriptions, …) deliverables, materials, and/or documentation as part of project work to support specific business unit areas or the enterprise.
Utilize Org Design software (e.g., Agentnoon, OrgVue, Nakisa, etc.) to provide proactive insights and visualizations for HRBP(s) and Senior Leader(s).
Provide education or capability building to Human Resources Business Partners and Leaders across the enterprise to inform colleagues of organization design frameworks, steps, tools, and templates.
Ensure CVS Health Human Resources and Compensation policies and requirements are adhered to in organizational design work across the enterprise.
Partner with other HR CoEs outside of the organizational design practice area or with other areas of the business to support the enterprise.
Ensure industry standard organizational design best practices are followed in draft organizational structure models and ways of working (decision rights, workflows, job descriptions, … )
Support the work to further expand or improve the organizational design Center of Excellence, by developing new or improved service model and organizational design tools, templates, and playbooks, and coaching or guidance to resources in the Center of Excellence.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of organization design processes, best practices, frameworks, tools, and techniques
Proven experience in strategic/management consulting
Organization assessment, analysis, and design
Experience in interviewing stakeholders and drawing insights from qualitative feedback
Business process design and/or workflow design
Change management frameworks and processes (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Lewin, Kotter, etc.)
Skills in:
Organization Design
Organization Effectiveness
Strategic and business consultation
Project management
Meeting and/or workshop facilitation
Stakeholder interviewing and intake of information
Communications (e.g., in person, video, telephone, written, and via facilitated presentation)
Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, etc.)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel Applications
Org Design software (e.g., Agentnoon, OrgVue, Nakisa, etc.)
Ability to:
Lead Org Design efforts partnering with HRBPs and business leaders
Lead Org Design research efforts through primary research and leveraging outside Org Design networks
Apply organizational design processes, best practices, theories, and techniques to day-to-day work
Apply knowledge and experience to solve complex problems and organization challenges
Translate business unit strategy and apply to organization changes and design(s)
Facilitate small to large business meeting(s), design session(s), and workflow review(s)
Experience in interviewing stakeholders and drawing insights from qualitative feedback
Analyze data, draw conclusions, and identify trends and/or themes
Tell a story based on data, insights, and analysis
Provide recommendations to different levels of leadership
Communicate sensitive, confidential, and/or challenging information
Hold difficult conversations with stakeholders at various levels within the organization
Prioritize workload and execute work within the confines of deadlines and shifting priorities
Work independently as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with limited supervision on organizational design related projects
Perform detailed analysis of job duties and assist with the development of job descriptions
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred - Masters
Healthcare, Health Plans, Pharmacy Services and/or Retail
Human Resources Business Partnering and/or Human Resources best practices
Compensation philosophy (e.g., Compensation Guidelines, job leveling, etc.)
Competency models and assessments
Education:
Bachelor Degree preferred or equal years of working experience may be considered
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
