The Chief of Staff provides strategic and thought leadership as part of the extended Executive Leadership Team at NTT Global Data Centers America, Inc. This role reports directly to the Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and represents the CRO in his absence internal to NTT. This individual will advance department-wide priorities and business initiatives while ensuring corporate alignment and cross-functional integration.

The Chief of Staff serves as a central point of contact for the CRO and internal and external stakeholders to establish clarity and communication across all aspects of the NTT GDC Americas, Global Data Center Corporation, and NTT Limited (when required). This highly visible role drives the rhythm of business for sales and is responsible for ensuring that the CRO and Senior Sales Personnel are fully briefed and prepared for professional interactions amongst both clients and Headquarters.

The role is pivotal in assessing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and mitigating potential challenges, all while ensuring alignment with our company's long-term goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and drives key strategic initiatives on behalf of the CRO including, but not limited to strategic reviews, long-term business planning, sales kick-off, project management, operations, change initiatives, employee engagement and communications.

  • Lead global coordination of the key initiatives helping drive consistency of process and programs (bringing together multiple support models ie: Client Success or Sales Ops)

  • Leads the sales rhythm of business; captures and disseminates key points and follow ups from strategy discussion, business reviews, staff meetings and operations meetings. Ensures the organization answers queries and meets NTT Ltd and GDC Corp project milestones.

  • Represents the Global CRO of NTT GDC. in meetings with NTT Ltd and GDC Corporation supporting initiatives relating to the operation of Global Hyperscale sales and sales-related issues between the regions.

  • Research, advise and create content for the CRO and global GDC Corp on issues which include, but are not limited to: Global Compensation Framework, Hyperscale Sales Model, Balance of Trade (Import/Export), and coordinating deal information with NTT affiliates.

  • Research and create a model for global account management for hyperscale providers that do not purchase regionally and create content for cadence communication with those providers (ex. Quarterly Business Reviews).

  • Research and recommend a long-term hyperscale sales model for APAC which incorporates current and upcoming inventory, sales, and product resources, existing hyperscale customers, current contracts and upcoming Requests for Proposals.

  • Responds to ad-hoc, time-sensitive requests for deliverables, often for audiences at headquarters, executive- or Board-level. Conducts targeted research to validate information in these executive summaries and briefings.

  • Prepare content and materials for strategy discussions with sales leaders; assist in planning these meetings and events as needed, such as sales kickoff, to ensure the success and alignment of the department.

  • Identify emerging industry trends and competitive landscapes to anticipate challenges and capitalize on growth areas.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential growth markets, customer segments, and new business opportunities.

  • Assess the competitive landscape, including evaluating competitors' strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.

  • Provide actionable insights based on market intelligence to guide strategic decisions.

  • Foster solid relationships and collaborate with various departments, including marketing, operations, finance, technology, construction and design, and legal, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Act as an internal thought leader, sharing insights and recommendations through presentations, reports, and discussions.

  • Ability to perform financial and qualitative data analysis and create clear and relevant information on current reporting and trends.

  • Must have unquestionable integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Understanding of global market dynamics, cultural differences, and international expansion strategies

  • Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and work efficiently against tight deadlines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields required.

  • Proven track record of successfully driving strategic initiatives and achieving business outcomes.

  • Substantial experience in a senior strategic advisory role, ideally within a relevant industry

  • Substantial experience in building complex financial models to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, investments, and business decisions.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 218,000 - $ 273,000.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
