Standard patient workup including, but not exclusively: Obtain histories and review of systems, input and update medications, assessments of vision, IOP, extraocular muscle function, confrontational visual fields, pupil reactivity. Also Lensometry, Amsler Grid, color plates, stereopsis, prism use, applanation tonometry, and stereopsis, auto and manifest refractions, dilation.Ophthalmic testing to include A/B Scan, automated visual fields, OCT, fundus photography, and IOL Master, patient education and family counseling, maintain records according to AMA guidelinesCoordination of daily schedules, add-ons for emergencies, liaison with physician and staff, concierge desk, and surgery scheduling, completion of reports for nursing homes, insurance, DMV., electronic medical record entry, medication refills, patient calls, and other related duties, attend In-services and Ophthalmic Grand RoundsOpen and close exam lanes insuring that all equipment is maintained and functioning properly, stocking and restocking exam rooms with necessary eye drops, consumables, and other medications used during eye exams, maintaining individual physician preference sheets, equipment such as lenses, instrumentsAssisting physician with EMR entry as required, other duties as assigned including equipment cleaning, ability to translate and assist with in-office surgeries
