Fox Valley Forge is looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our team!

The Human Resource Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager of Cleveland Hardware & Forging Co. The HR Coordinator is responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, and acts as primary HR resource to the Fox Valley Forge facility. This position will support a variety of necessary HR tasks and projects.

Job Duties

  • Welcomes customers as they enter reception area, providing assistance and direction to customers or vendors
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail as required
  • Hosts company fun events
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department including generating reports, updating census information, updating employee changes in applicable systems, completing employment verifications, etc.
  • Works with hiring manager on new job requisitions and posts available positions on all job boards and social media platforms
  • Performs identification, selection and interviewing of candidates
  • Extends job offers and sets up pre-employment testing including drug testing, physical and audiogram
  • Executes new hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, printing new hire paperwork, creating new employee files, and completing the new hire checklist
  • Assists in updating HR Quarterly communication slides and assists in preparation for Quarterly meetings
  • Assists with benefits including new hire enrollment and open enrollment
  • Assists with performance evaluation procedures for Fox Valley Production staff including prepping and distribution of documents, collecting completed evaluations, storing completed evaluations, and processing any applicable changes
  • Monitors attendance and PTO for Fox Valley Forge hourly staff, including updating quarterly perfect attendance and communicating to HR Generalist when facing disciplinary action
  • Processes Termination Checklists
  • Primary uniform program contact communicates new hires, termination or changes with employee uniform program to uniform delivery personnel
  • Assist with any personnel training as required Translates communication and documentation as necessary
  • Supports special projects as directed by the Safety and Human Resources team Qualifications
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (speaking, reading and writing)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software. Education and Experience ? Human Resources experience preferred
  • Recruiting experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions of the Workplace

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
