Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Ground Segment. In this role, you will be supporting factory ground segment Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) activities for an operational mission to include hands-on troubleshooting, regression testing and verification. You will also interact and communicate with mission operations personnel to assist, plan, and troubleshoot activities.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
Interacting with O&M personnel to understand and resolve issues and problems
Decomposing requirements, defining system interfaces, and helping determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
Provide engineering support and technical direction for the implementation of a portion of the programs test Program
Provide verification and validation and regression testing support across all deliverable releases
This position is an onsite role at our Aurora, CO (Denver area) campus
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with a minimum 10+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulation
Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Antenna and Ground equipment Hardware familiarity
Experience with Equinox Software Products, RTX Eclipse experience highly preferred
Systems Integration and/or Test Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Experience with test verification of requirements and integration and test procedures and plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Satellite Command and Control, Mission Planning and Scheduling domain
Experience with L, S and X bands
Experience leading engineering teams working with requirements
Experience working in a multi-discipline environment and familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders during factory SEIT activities
Familiarity with automation techniques
Experience with Operations and Maintenance Activities

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
