The Integrated National Systems Business Unit is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. This position is located in Aurora, CO and will be responsible for managing the activities at two docks.

Position Summary / Responsibilities

  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties.

  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.

  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.

  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.

  • Packs or wraps items such as parts, office supplies, computer equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.

  • Verifies items and quantities on vendor pack list; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.

  • Verifies data on pack list from vendor against purchase order, report any discrepancies or damages found.

  • Posts receipt against purchase order and notifies appropriate department or individual that items are ready for pickup.

  • Coordinates all outbound shipments including carrier selection and booking, packaging, palletizing, pallet strapping, loading, and shipment approval signature coordination for domestic, international, and HAZMAT shipments.

  • Reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

  • Receives daily inbound package and freight shipments from carriers including unloading and forklift operations as required.

  • Coordinates with program and site personnel on upcoming shipments and deliveries to ensure appropriate prioritization so that deadlines are met.

  • Ensure shipping/receiving supplies are on hand, request items to be ordered as needed.

  • Ensure the two shipping/receiving dock areas are kept clean and organized.

  • Responsible for managing activities at the two receiving docks while supporting the Aurora Campus as well as offsite Campuses as needed.

  • Ability to organize and maintain good record keeping for audit purposes.

This position may be filled as either a Shipping Receiving Coordinator 3 or Shipping Receiving Coordinator 4.

Basic Qualifications:

  • For a Shipping Receiving Coordinator 3: High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years' shipping experience or related

  • For a Shipping Receiving Coordinator 4: High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years' shipping experience or related

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Familiarity with HAZMAT regulations

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Detailed oriented and able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible or quickly adapt when deadlines are changed unexpectedly

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI Security Clearance with SSBI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using SAP/ERP applications

  • Aerospace Industry experience

  • Current Top Secret SCI Security Clearance with SSBI

Salary Range: $46,400 - $77,300

Salary Range 2: $55,100 - $91,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
