Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or related field
Experience using R and/or Python to carry out data analysis
Demonstrated track record of research experience and publications
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in high-dimensional data analysis and machine learning
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently on data analysis and research
Ability to work well with a diverse team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of quantitative analytic methods in biostatistics or statistics
Ability to analyze large complex datasets
Versatility and the ability to operate effectively and efficiently according to the needs and demands of concurrent projects and deadlines

The Division of Healthcare Policy and Research is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) biostatistics Post-doctoral fellow to work under the direct supervision of Dr. Kathryn Colborn in the Department of Medicine and the Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The selected candidate will work with Dr. Colborn and other faculty in the ACCORDS Biostatistics and Analytics Core. The selected candidate will assist with projects involving analysis of high-dimensional electronic health record (EHR) data and clinical notes data using contemporary statistical methods and natural language processing (NLP) methods. Pursuit of independent research that aligns with the project goals is encouraged. There will also be opportunities to contribute to pragmatic trials in health services research. This is a two year position.

ACCORDS serves as the focal point for health care professionals, researchers, and analysts from across the Anschutz Medical Campus to foster multidisciplinary collaborations that bring together our campus' diverse skills and talents to pursue health services research and education. In addition, ACCORDS cultivates strong research and educational collaborations with external partners including the University of Colorado School of Public Health, Children's Hospital Colorado, Denver Health, Kaiser Permanente Colorado, UCHealth, as well as other health care delivery systems, community organizations, and state and local government agencies. ACCORDS has programs in Dissemination and Implementation Science, Patient-Centered Decision Making, Education, Community Engagement and Outreach, as well as methodological cores in Qualitative and Mixed Methods, Economic Analysis, Practice-Based Research Networks (PBRNs), Biostatistics for Health Services Research, and Mobile Health & Informatics.
