Job Summary: As a Perioperative RN, you will be a vital part of our team, providing direct care to patients during surgical procedures. Adhering to established nursing standards and our organization's core values, your primary focus will be on ensuring high standards of patient care.

Job Description: Role: Perioperative RN

• This position is for 40 hours per week

• There is a required weekend and call rotation

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

• Maintains and troubleshoots surgical equipment. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Qualifications:

• Valid state of Maine RN license or the ability to obtain one promptly.

• Previous OR experience is required.

• Demonstrates flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills.

• Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development.

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
