Position Summary

Directs activities of the team including overseeing and coordinating Scrum events, ensuring that any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress are identified and addressed. Provides coaching and mentoring to the team and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and effective communication across teams, and supporting the Product Owner in product backlog management and prioritization. Develops strategy to monitor and measure the team's progress through established metrics, promoting self-organization and autonomy among team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and productivity.

What you will do

  • Administers the change management plan to support the adoption and sustainability of agile practices.

  • Advises general managers on retrospective meetings and feedback mechanisms to gather insights on process areas that need improvement.

  • Advises management on approaches to maximize value delivery and the return on investment (ROI).

  • Manages and advises teams on the standards for metrics and reporting to provide visibility into agile performance and share insights with stakeholders.

  • Aligns coaching and mentoring programs to the needs of agile staff and supporting teams to ensure positive project outcomes.

  • Communicates with agile teams through the utilization of management tools, collaboration platforms, and visualization boards.

  • Communicates with top management on how to implement agile methodologies that focus on flexibility and collaboration methods that effectively enable teams to respond to change.

  • Contributes to business objectives and strategizes on how to increase productivity and enable faster time-to-market for products and features in order to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

  • Contributes to top-level decision making on governance and compliance protocols to ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years leadership experience

  • 10+ years overall technology delivery management experience

  • Strong communicator both verbal and written with the ability to influence across all functions and at all levels of the organization

  • Experience leading teams comprised of Business focused Scrum Masters, Program Managers and Project Managers

  • Managed product teams, performing HR responsibilities such as hiring and performance management

  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

  • Adept at using Scrum and Agile methodologies

  • Ensure that program management approaches are consistent, measurable, and aligned with corporate standards, Scrum and Agile best practices

  • Adept at business intelligence

  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork

  • Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills

  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of budgets and portfolios including both Business and IT Capital Expense and Operations Expense

  • SCRUM Certified

  • Lead multiple product team leaders on complex initiatives

  • Manage change and promote continuous improvement of change management processes

  • Identify improvement opportunities to optimize execution speed and effectiveness

  • Track and communicate overall team progress

  • Ensure delivery of initiatives are on time, on budget and fall within organizational performance targets

  • Ensure initiative scope, schedule, budget, quality and associated metrics are available, accurate, and meet corporate standards and guidelines

  • Direct product teams handling all aspects of solution delivery, Agile methodologies

  • Oversee Agile processes and promote the use of Agile best practices and methodology

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
