Noblis Electronic/Navy Systems Engineer in Augusta, Maine

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and Fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Currently we are looking to hire an Electronic/Navy Systems Engineer.

The Electronic/Navy Systems Engineer will support various hull, mechanical and electrical systems (HM&E), and research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) programs for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division.

Candidate duties will include the following:

  • Provide electrical engineering support for shipboard HM&E Systems such as Submarine Electrical Systems, Power Generation and Distribution Systems, motors, generators, and other electromagnetic equipment

  • Apply electrical engineering principles to support systems engineering, production engineering, and test and integration engineering for shipboard HM&E systems, equipment, and RDT&E programs

  • Review specifications, technical manuals, and other technical documentation that relate to shipboard HM&E systems, equipment, and RDT&E programs

  • Assist other engineers in electrical engineering, and project management tasks for assigned projects

  • Provide direct support to the assigned program technical manager

  • Assist with preparation of proposals, presentations and reports, and research technical information to support and design systems

  • Support project planning and execution efforts for research, development, investigations, analyses, and testing

  • Utilize RDT&E to recommend improvements in design, operation, maintenance, and safety for assigned systems and equipment

  • Provide supporting technical and logistics documentation relative to recommended design improvements and performance requirements

  • Resolve all equipment and systems issues with the appropriate Subject Matter Expert(s)

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to junior and senior engineers

  • Providing program level support for shipboard advanced submarine electrical power generation, and distribution systems, by collaboration and teaming efforts with the fleet, Naval Activities, government agencies, contractors, and other NSWC branches

  • Provide direct support for system design maturity, execution, and fielding of Submarine Electrical Systems, Power Generation and Distribution Systems technologies

  • Evaluate Mechanical and Structural Drawings to interface with Electrical Drawing Development: HVAC, Piping, Tanks, Pumps, Solenoid Valves, Ramps, Hoists, Platforms, Decks, and Foundations

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering, M.S. or PhD. Electrical Engineering preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.

  • US citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance is desired and the ability to obtain one is required

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $93,200.00 - USD $145,550.00 /Yr.
