We work one-on-one with great candidates to help connect them with local employment opportunities. We are seeking candidates for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator role on the 1st shift. Compensation for this direct-hire opportunity is $50,000-$75,000 per year. Interested? Read below for more information! What you ll do as the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator: Promote a safe work environment by following all safety policies, leading safety initiatives, and demonstrating ongoing commitment to the safety program Collaborate with Managers and Supervisors to identify training needs and provide employee safety and lean training during orientation and ongoing as required Conduct regular 5S and Safety Audits, ergonomic audits (minimum two per month), and facility inspections; develop action plans and report findings to Management and employees Anticipate, identify, evaluate, and control hazardous conditions through the development of methods, procedures, and hazard control programs Drive and maintain an active safety committee and organize employee Safety and Wellness events Investigate and report accidents and incidents promptly; complete post-accident investigations and update facility safety maps as needed Maintain compliance with environmental permits and regulatory reporting, including OSHA, MNOSHA, MPCA, TRI reporting, stormwater testing, and hazardous waste management Identify, source, and manage appropriate safety supplies and equipment Stay current on safety regulations, standards, methods, and industry practices to ensure continuous improvement Assist HR with Workers' Compensation claims coordination, working with employees, supervisors, and insurance representatives Support company quality management systems, promote employee welfare, and perform additional duties as assigned
