Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced aerospace industry environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating band saws and forklifts, and possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work on their feet. Responsibilities

  • Operate band saws to cut steel materials.

  • Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials.

  • Read and interpret tape measures accurately.

  • Perform visual quality control checks on materials.

  • Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work order specifications.

  • Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly processing area.

  • Accurately complete all required information entries.

  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating band saws.

  • Ability to operate sit-down forklifts.

  • Proficiency in reading tape measures.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform visual quality control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

  • Good with paperwork and chain of custody.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The facility is fast-paced, with over 60 employees on the floor. The first week on the job includes classroom training, followed by hands-on training with an experienced trainer. Once hired full-time, the second shift receives an additional $1 per hour, and the third shift is paid for 40 hours while working 36 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
