Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $26.38 - $29.09 plus an additional estimated plus an estimated additional ROA annual compensation of $14,000 - $15,500 based on division performance.

Basic Job Functions:

This position will work directly with the Melt Shop Metallurgist as well as the Quality, Sales and Production Teams. This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday day shift; however, working unscheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays may be required.

The Melt Shop Quality Technician will be responsible for:

  • Safe operation and maintenance of the Melt Shop analytical equipment.

  • Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of the spectrometers and slag analyzer.

  • Perform measurement system analysis on the lab equipment to ensure that it is running optimally.

  • Working with both the melting, caster and billet yard team to continue looking at improving the process, improving yield and lowering cost.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating and/or maintaining analytical equipment.

  • Good math/analytical skills.
