DeKalb County Government Housekeeper/ Caregiver in Auburn, Indiana
DeKalb Countys Sunny Meadows (County Home) seeks a mature, domestically inclined, multi-tasker for a Second Shift, Full-Time position.
Hourly wage is based upon experience and budget - approximately $10.90/hour.
Normal working hours are 1 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. with a half hour lunch. This position works for up to 40 hours a week.
The qualified candidate must be self-motivated, and have what it takes to manage several tasks, often at the same time. The position necessitates true care for people, knack for organization, knowledge of correct usage of food service supplies/products and attention to detail. The job requires the ability to function independently, communicate clearly (including reading, writing and verbally) and enjoy contact with people. The position requires competence in adapting to a demanding and changing environment and the ability to manage stressful situations with a calm demeanor. This position also requires you to have a valid drivers license!
New hires must agree to adhere to all policies and procedures of DeKalb County Government, State Board of Accounts, and DeKalb County Health Department. Serve in other duties and assignments as requested/required by the Administrator and Matron of Sunny Meadows.
Duties include but are not limited to
Once a month take all workers (residents) shopping at Dollar Tree.
Take residents to the Library every Tuesday.
Take residents out for dinner once a month.
Clean bathrooms and disinfect showers daily.
Assist cook with dinner and dinner dishes.
Sort Laundry and do one load of towels.
Sweep and mop kitchen and dining room daily.
