Michigan State Job Bank Quality Systems Engineer Lead in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Henniges Automotive North America, Inc., in Auburn Hills, Michigan, seeks a Quality Systems Engineer Lead. 10% travel, both domestic and international. Duties: Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and systems; develop quality systems to comply with current and future quality standards, resolve customer quality concerns and audit non-conformance, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective action; develop team to identify quality improvement opportunities and implement creative solutions, and recommend techniques for problem solving, including determining cost causes, implementing corrective action, and monitoring results; facilitate internal audits in organizations to corporate standards for compliance, maintain internal IATF 16949 and QMS documentation, and support plants for external IATF Audits; plan and develop best practices, write training material, and conduct training sessions on Quality Systems and quality control activities; coordinate workflow, and ensure consistent performance of routines and adherence to company policies and procedures; maintain global supplier master records in Plex ERP system, maintain Plex work instructions, assist with Plex end user training, and maintain supplier diversity records and certificate monitoring; and perform power BI development/maintenance and coordinate with IT developers. Hybrid position; will work from home and office. Minimum education required: Master degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering or closely related field, or equivalent foreign degree. Minimum experience required: 2 years of work experience in a quality or maintenance engineering role. Must have 2 years of work experience with each of the following: quality systems maintenance, to include performing root cause analysis and developing corrective action reports; developing and coordinating cross-functional work groups projects.
