The Position:

As a Team member of the Automotive Information and Cybersecurity (ICS) Organization you are a part of the international diverse team which is steering together for a secure ICS environment. The Governance Specialist plays an important role for the overall compliance with rules and standards the Automotive sector must follow.

As an Information Security Governance Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance Management with Information and Cybersecurity rule framework

  • Second line of defense for Automotive specific rules and standards

  • Drive, track and report the execution of Information and Cybersecurity rule Landscape

  • Rule Governance responsible for Mission Critical Rules

  • Sector representative from the Automotive Sector towards Group

  • Lifecycle Management of Information and Cybersecurity Rule Landscape:

  • Managing, controlling, and maintaining the rules together with the rule owners considering internal and external requirements

  • Managing and evolving the regulatory landscape as an efficient and effective regulatory system for cybersecurity

  • Implementation of a community management for existing and new rules

  • Definition of target group(s)

  • Regularly exchange information about new rules or changes in existing rules

  • Support with the implementation of rules

  • Creation of training material for different internal customers

  • Support of internal departments in Information and Cybersecurity related aspects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, business information technology or comparable

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, such as information technology, Information and/or Cybersecurity

  • Considerable experience in (InfoSec) GRC fundamentals.

  • Good stakeholder management and engagement skills.

  • Ability to provide strategic guidance on governance matters.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.)

  • In-depth understanding of security governance frameworks and principles.

  • Ability to form complex communications/messages in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various parts of the group.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Effective and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Proven track record of operating in time critical, diverse, creative and corporate Environments.

  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability and confidence to prioritize and balance conflicting and diverse demands from technical and business perspectives.

  • Interpersonal and intercultural skills to work with different stakeholders

  • Communication Skills to effectively communicate information to various target groups

  • Good (self-)organizational skill

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental will offer visa support for those individuals who hold existing valid employment visas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in information technology, business information technology or comparable

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience, such as information technology, Information and/or Cybersecurity

Comprehensive knowledge in MS Office

Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
