About the role

Nexteer is looking for a Global Purchasing Finance Director, which is a key position in the purchasing organization that reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer and has significant exposure to the senior leadership team. We are looking for an innovative, self-starting individual who is interested in the fast-paced environment of a tier one automotive supplier. This position requires an individual who has prior finance experience in a manufacturing environment, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable information. A strong background in financial analysis and reporting is required. This position is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide material performance analysis in support of FP&A and Investor Relations via the monthly forecast, the annual budget and long-range financial plan, as well as ad hoc requests.

  • Assist in facilitating monthly divisional material performance reviews.

  • Council employees globally on financial processes, policies and procedures.

  • Core team member of Global Supply Management digitalization team that drives transformation of global financial analysis and reporting by collaborating with global cross functional team

  • Develop presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors

  • Drive global alignment between finance and GSM.

  • Track commodity indices and work cross-functionally to understand variances between customer recovery/supply base cost.

  • Support all internal and external audit activities and information requests, including Internal Control, Internal Audit, IATF, Tax, Customer Audits, Compliance, Legal, External Affairs, PC&L, Customs, Sustainability and Insurance.

  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

  • Support global data requests for cross functional teams

  • Lead and develop material performance reporting team through ongoing employee training, feedback, support and recognition.

    Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant financial performance experience.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Some travel may be required.

    Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, or related field.
