Responsibilities

Dietary Aide - Full time, 36 hrs.week, 12-hour shifts, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every other weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Dietary Aide (Kitchen/Cafeteria Aide) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Dietary Aide is responsible for patient, visitor, and employee food service and department sanitation. The Dietary Aide performs a variety of routine duties to serve the patients, visitors, and employee’s meals and to clean and sanitize work areas, dishes, equipment, utensils, and pots and pans. Typical duties include prepping food for cooking and serving; delivering and picking up food, dishes and supplies from serving areas; cleaning and sanitizing the dining room and work areas following departmental procedures. These employees also maintain and record temperatures of the food during serving times as well as of all refrigerators, freezers and warmers on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Six months of work experience in food service preferred.

  • Provision of satisfactory motor vehicle operation report required.

  • Employee must be in good standing (evaluation/employment history, corrective action, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
