Federal Aviation Administration IT Specialist (Systems Analysis) in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Summary Incumbent represents the organization as a technical expert in field support to other organizations of the ATO, other organizations of the FAA, other government organizations, contractors, and foreign governments. Responsibilities Incumbent provides second level engineering, maintenance, and support of the E-IDS system. Designs, develops, and conducts complex independent and interdependent technical analysis to identify and resolve problems that impact system performance, maintainability, reliability, usability, or service continuity. Identifies system requirements and demands for modified objectives, procedures, techniques, and equipment and evaluate timeliness of needed modifications. Identifies the need for and adequacy of technical documentation required to maintain and certify E-IDS. Provides advice to second-level engineering support teams. Based on technical expertise, incumbent provides input to supervisor and management on plans, resources, schedules, priorities, and goals of a project. Maintains an awareness of the status and progress of all projects within the assigned technical area and recommends adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Incumbent reviews work of project engineers on complex projects for technical accuracy and adequacy. Provides input to supervisors and management on technical performance, progress, and training needs of project engineers and computer scientists/specialists. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
