Google Technical Program Manager Mechanical Supplier Quality in Atlanta, Georgia

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Data Center Infrastructure Quality team is responsible for product delivery to meet Google's Data Center needs to enable Google Cloud customer demand and internal compute power. The Infrastructure Quality Mechanical team is responsible for the qualification and quality execution of the supplier. The team collaborates with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Data Center Site Operations teams to deliver infrastructure capacity for Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with suppliers managing quality of mechanical infrastructure systems to solve product quality and process issues across the full product lifecycle.

  • Conduct audits and inspections of supplier production facilities, and connect production line metrics and audits to field performance.

  • Articulate quality improvement activities to reduce variability, improve predictability, responsiveness, output quality, and monitor Factory Witness and Acceptance Testing.

  • Manage validation of supplier’s build/test processes and ensure they are meeting Google requirements, validate supplier product life cycle Quality deliverables defined by Google, and leverage industry quality standards such as PPAP.

  • Collaborate with design engineers, commodity managers, manufacturing engineers, operation program managers, and product managers to drive high quality products.
