The Role

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Governance and Business Enablement workstream within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) department. This individual will serve as a strategic partner in driving security governance initiatives by gathering and analyzing business requirements, supporting program management efforts, and ensuring alignment between security objectives and enterprise-wide initiatives.

In addition to business and process analysis, this role will oversee budget tracking and financial planning related to security programs, collaborating closely with finance, security leadership, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences’ stakeholders.

The Main Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Program Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for governance and security-related matters initiatives.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications to support security governance and risk management programs.

  • Assist program managers in defining project scope, objectives, and success criteria to ensure alignment with the business goals.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation to provide visibility into security governance initiatives.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Track and manage budgets for enterprise-wide security initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Analyze financial data to provide insights into budget forecasts, variances, and financial trends. Collaborate closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure proper allocation of resources and adherence to budget compliance.

  • Develop financial models and conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making for governance and security projects.

Project Management & Process Optimization:

  • Support project management efforts by developing timelines, milestones, and risk assessments for governance and business enablement initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency within security governance processes.

  • Ensure program objectives remain on track by proactively addressing potential roadblocks and dependencies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

  • Act as a liaison between security, finance, and business teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on key initiatives.

  • Develop presentations and briefings on project status, financials, and business impact for various audiences, including senior executives.

  • Support audit and compliance efforts by providing necessary documentation and financial reporting.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, in the Security field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, Master’s preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, financial planning, and project management frameworks.

  • Experience working with finance teams and enterprise security programs.

  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools, project management platforms, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience briefing executives and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or CGFM (Certified Government Financial Manager) are a plus.

  • Familiarity with security program management and enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY

$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
