Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with principal investigator, manages a large or multiple smaller research projects.
Manages project related budgets, information systems, recruitment activities, regulatory requirements and equipment and space requirements.
Assists in developing and submitting grant proposals and advises principal investigator of changes in reporting or accounting requirements.
Assists with recruiting and interviewing patients/subjects, conducting tests, developing and directing surveys or making presentations.
Oversees the interviewing and hiring of staff involved with designated research projects.
Supervises staff by orienting, training and providing ongoing performance feedback.
Manages project related information systems and databases including data collection, coding, storage and analysis.
Assists investigator and research personnel with publication of findings.
Serves as project liaison to other departments, outside organizations, government agencies and product representatives.
Ensures the preparation of operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
May develop and administer research protocols.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a science field or business management and three years of related management experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health, healthcare program coordination, or a related role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with HIV and HCV screening, public health policies, and linkage-to-care processes.
Experience in staff education and training is a strong asset.
Strong writing and communication skills for developing newsletters and reports.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
