Osmose Utilities Services Program Business Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

The Program Business Analyst works in the Project Management Organization (PMO) to develop and manage program performance reporting and process improvement initiatives for two large-scale customer-facing programs. The goal of this position is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of program delivery activities by improving reporting to make it more automated and insightful, and managing initiatives to increase the effectiveness of both project management as well as cross-functional business processes.

Detail of Job Duties

  • Facilitates multiple improvement teams by applying Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or Six Sigma tools and techniques to achieve results

  • Proactively identifies areas/potential projects where process redesign/improvement can impact efficiency, quality, profitability, cash flow, and customer satisfaction

  • Provides process improvement know-how, methods, and conceptual expertise to teams

  • Facilitates cross-functional team activities related to project and process communication and introduction/improvement

  • Ensures effective implementation of change; works with others to establish and monitors related metrics

  • Develops effective reporting tools for the PMO business unit

  • Analyzes the program’s activities, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends and compare analysis against service standards and best practices and industry benchmarking data; presents findings and works with the Director, Project Managers, and other personnel to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals

  • Prepares and tracks routine reports (project/program, budget, financial, quality, production, productivity, customer service, operational efficiency, accounts receivable, unbilled work)

  • Monitors the team's compliance with the documented project management procedures

  • Supports development of executive presentations

  • Performs special studies and projects to improve and standardize on processes and practices within the group

  • Assists manager to develop and implement processes and policies to improve and automate operations

  • Supports or leads various internal projects

  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner

Education and Experience

  • Required minimum level of education: Bachelor’s degree

  • Desired experience: 2 to 5 years

  • Experience profile: bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or other related field Experience in project management, process optimization, problem solving, facilitation, and internal/external consulting (desired) Certifications Required / Desired: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Project Management Institute PMP or CAPM, International Institute of Business Analysis ECBA or higher

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • High level of comfort in managing complex data sets; ability to create and manage complex data models in Microsoft Excel; experience using data analytics tools such as PowerBI

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to solve unstructured problems with minimal supervision and direction Strong system knowledge is desired, including input to output flows, and the ability to identify process gaps and recommend solutions to management

  • Strong communication, group facilitation, project management and change management skills

  • Aptitude for detailed analysis and strong follow-up skills with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions

  • Ability to develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations to customer and executive stakeholders

  • Ability to write process documents and train stakeholders.
