Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for inspecting equipment and systems for any issues and scheduling repairs for faulty equipment. The role involves performing general maintenance of the facility and grounds.
Responsibilities
Maintain and perform daily preventive maintenance on material handling equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts using hands and/or power tools.
Maintain battery room and chargers, including charging and changing batteries for material handling equipment.
Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, hands, and/or power tools.
Keep equipment rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follow through and complete all work orders.
Maintain appropriate levels of material handling equipment maintenance supplies.
Design, implement, and review daily operator’s checklist procedures.
Log and update asset software for all maintenance and repair to ensure tracking.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, including OSHA.
Adhere to the mission, cornerstone values, and applicable practices of the organization.
Maintain peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
Working knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of maintenance.
Ability to follow directions, standard procedures, and respond to instructions.
Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Work Environment
Climate controlled at 36-38 degrees. The shift is Monday to Friday from 2 PM until around 11 PM, with one Saturday a month dedicated to preventive maintenance. Flexibility to stay late to fix machinery is required. Expect an average of 45 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
