Noblis Logistics & Planning Lead in Atlanta, Georgia
Responsibilities
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Voice Switch and Recorder (VS&R) Program Office manages seven disinct programs that provide high-availability voice communication and recording systems for use by Air Traffic Control (ATC) within the United States National Airspace System (NAS). The FAA performs sustainment of Legacy voice equipment currently in use across the NAS and also procurement of new modern voice communications switches, components, and capabilities. The VS&R Program Office is responsible for full system life cycle management of the ATC voice communications systems (VCSs), including Life Cycle Logistics.
The FAA System Life Cycle Logistics and Planning Lead will support new VCS acquisition programs and existing VS&R programs within the NAS, interacting with a team comprised of Noblis, Subcontractor, Industry/Vendor and FAA staff to:
Understand, manage and track vendor LRU/component supply chain risks including time and cost
Review and recommend improvements to vendor Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS) plans, programs, deliverables and remediations
Analyze vendor and FAA equipment components that are approaching obsolescence and plan for lifecycle sustainment
Apply logistics life cycle knowledge to support FAA VS&R programs, projects, acquisition and sustainment activities
Lead team individual projects, mentor staff, provide 'Trusted Advisor' technical/functional solutions, while leveraging team capabilities and seeking knowledge and information across the organizations and stakeholders. Share understanding of current industry and client space and evaluate and apply practical and innovative concepts and methodologies to solve difficult problems. Independently complete routine work. As a part of the Noblis team, make recommendations to improve standard practices, procedures and tools.
Required Qualifications
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and have 16+ years of relevant logistics and system life cycle management experience.
The candidate must possess knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
Familiarity with Lifecycle Logistics from the perspective of a Client Program Office, including experience supporting programs/systems that have been through most of their system lifecycles.
Experience conducting technical reviews of vendor logistics-related plans, reports and deliverables
Experience supporting system logistics elements, including technical instruction/manual development, training development, system maintenance planning/execution, management of diminishing manufacturing sources, obsolescence planning, and sustainment activities.
Experience supporting analysis and management of diminishing manufacturing sources (DMSMS) and vendor components approaching obsolescence and recommending acquisition and sustainment activities.
System Component analysis engineering and dealing with the manufacturers lowest lowest replaceable units (LRU's)
Manage Global Component Libraries (GCL's) for electrical parts.
Desired Qualifications
The candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration and National Airspace System (NAS) systems.
Familiarity with or ability to learn National Airspace Integrated Logistics Support (NAILS), FAA Logistics and Inventory System (LIS) and/or Logistics Center Support System (LCSS).
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to work independently and/or in collaborative team environments to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete
Flexible/easily adaptable within dynamic work environments
Customer-service and goal oriented
Ability to travel to occasional meetings at FAA or vendor facilities around the U.S.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

USD $93,200.00 - USD $145,550.00 /Yr.
