Insight Global Loan Servicing Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description

Insight Global's client, a local company that provides loans to real estate investors, is looking to hire a Loan Servicing Specialist. This Loan Servicing Specialist will be responsible working in an extremely fast paced environment and manage a portfolio of 175 funded loans. This company is the only local lender for the state of GA and has a team of 25 people that is still growing. Typically, the beginning of the month is focused on interest payments and collections, the middle of the month is processing late fees, defaults, insurance expirations and issues, extensions for loans that are maturing, and foreclosure filings and at the end of the month, pursuing delinquent loans, following up on payoffs, and reminding borrowers of upcoming payments for the next month. This role will be managed by the Director of Accounting and Loan Servicing, working with 1 other Loan Servicing Specialist, and supported by 2 Loan Servicing Assistants. The company follows a hybrid working schedule working 1-2 days onsite during standard working hours and this will be a 9-month contract to hire engagement.

Responsibilities:

* Understand the details and terminology of funding and servicing loans

* Understand the details and terminology of the investment activities of our clients

* Resolve and review issues for daily detailed banking transactions

* Manage and complete all individual tasks assigned in our task management software for

* loan or client issues

* Coordinate with and oversee a team of two virtual professionals to ensure proper and timely completion of basic loan servicing tasks

* Maintain and update loan details in our management systems

* Understand and utilize bulk report features in our loan management system

* Work towards resolving borrower delinquencies through proactive communication via emails, phone calls and texts with clients regarding their account balances

* Assist in accounting activities for REOs

* Resolve escalated insurance monitoring issues from Loan Servicing Assistants

* Complete and resolve complex servicing activities or issues on assigned loans: demand letters, loan modifications, insurance claims, foreclosure or delinquent loan changes, deed in lieu and complex payoffs

* Resolve issues with missing loan documents

* Communicate with clients and other third parties daily through phone calls, text messages and emails regarding more complex servicing questions, loan draws, loan payoffs, past due taxes or servicing concerns

* Initiate and complete add hoc projects that assist in supporting the operations of the business or loan servicing

* Ensure accuracy, efficiency, confidentiality, flexibility, and positivity to support the business

* Contribute to the overall growth and improvement of the business

Skills and Requirements

* Ability to communicate with customers about time-sensitive information, preferably around servicing industry (i.e. delinquent loans, interest payments, payoffs, draws, extensions, payoff breakdowns, late notices, prepaid interests, breakdowns, write offs, maturity dates, interest rates, principal balances)

* Basic accounting principles (i.e. debits and credits) * Experience with mortgage lending, servicing, or real estate investing

* Experience working in the loan servicing industry (i.e. delinquent loans, interest payments, payoffs, draws, extensions, payoff breakdowns, late notices, prepaid interests, breakdowns, write offs, maturity dates, interest rates, principal balances)

* Active real estate license or national mortgage license null
