Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Maintenance Engineer to perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on forklifts. The ideal candidate will interpret manufacturer's technical manuals, troubleshoot problems, and ensure safe and effective operation of forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on forklifts.

  • Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals for necessary maintenance and repairs.

  • Troubleshoot forklift problems including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Identify imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and malfunctions.

  • Replace broken or defective parts and order replacement parts for major repairs.

  • Reassemble forklifts and make necessary adjustments for safe operation.

  • Perform safety inspections of forklifts before release to the work floor.

  • Clean equipment and work areas as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in MHE or forklift repair.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and work on hydraulics and attachments.

  • Experience with electric and propane forklifts.

  • Knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.

  • Familiarity with LP, gas, and diesel systems.

  • Ability to work with various lift trucks such as Hyster, Cat, Crown, and Mitsubishi.

  • Experience with 440v and 480v systems.

  • Ability to use multimeters and voltmeters.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, industrial, and large complex. Train on a day shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts. The facility offers a structured schedule with lunch and breaks included.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
