TireHub Financial Manager - Operations in Atlanta, Georgia

Role Summary:

The Financial Manager - Operations is responsible supporting fact-based decision-making by Operations Leadership team by identifying and clarifying business drivers and forecasting business results. This position supports multiple aspects of the company’s operations including inventory procurement, supply chain, transportation, logistics, warehouse operations and fleet management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Operations Vice President on all operation’s financial topics.

  • Develops and maintains annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts; working closely with Operations leadership to ensure alignment with financial targets and objectives.

  • Develops and maintains CAPEX budget; ensures proper allocation of CAPEX spend, and challenges CAPEX assumptions.

  • Owns the management of all aspects of Operations’ costs as a member of the Operations Leadership Team.

  • Provides performance advice and serves as business advocate:

  • Focuses on information, insight, and analysis.

  • Focuses on leading, not lagging indicators to address issues before they happen.

  • Looks for and identifies “hot spots” consistently struggling to meet financial targets.

  • Conducts root cause analysis and challenges leadership assumption on “believed” vs actual causes.

  • Intimately familiar with the value drivers and value ‘eroders’ of TireHub’s Operations organization.

  • Conducts comprehensive financial analysis to assess the performance of the Operations team.

  • Audits cost and exception reporting to ensure Operations leadership is proactively managing all aspects of its cost structure.

  • Provides cost modeling to inform key growth activities, including the implementation of a two-tier Regional Distribution Center network, geographic expansion, facility relocations, lease renewals, service territory assignments and delivery route redesigns.

  • Drives informed decision making by conducting ad hoc financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting as needed to support other strategic initiatives.

  • Educates and provides clear financial reporting in ways field operators understand the impacts of their decisions.

  • Capability to work and solve problems independently and with a team.

  • Ability to manage, establish and improve processes.

  • Ability to work with supply chain “stereotypes”, must move quickly, think outside of the box, manage complexity, and be a problem solver with an orientation toward continuous improvement.

    Experience:

    · 5-7 years of experience in the Accounting or Finance function ​

    · Experience with supply chain disciplines – procurement, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, asset management required.

    · Bachelor’s Degree required ​, Finance, Economics or Business preferred

    · CPA or MBA a plus

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    · Strong Excel skills, with exposure to other reporting tools (MS PowerBI, Workday Adaptive)

    · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate results to non-finance associates ​.

    · Cost accounting acumen – constantly assessing and intimately familiar with the variable costs of each step of sourcing, storing, and moving tires, in addition to our fixed costs given large lease expenses (real estate, fleet).

This role is based out of TireHub's Dunwoody, Georgia, headquarters.
