Exciting Opportunity for Engineering Graduates

Position: Distribution Engineer

Kickstart your career with us as a Distribution Engineer, working on impactful power distribution projects. You'll receive hands-on training from experienced engineers and be part of a dynamic team.

What You'll Do:

  • Engineering Calculations: Perform structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.

  • Project Coordination: Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, develop a Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimate costs.

  • Design Development: Spend 90% of your time on design development and coordination, with the remaining 10% involving fieldwork after several months of on-the-job training.

  • Innovative Projects: Work on electric power distribution and leadership projects, including make-ready and smart antenna initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (preferred) - Open to Mechanical or Civil Engineering degrees as well

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering.

  • Power Distribution Knowledge: Understanding of power distribution and electrical design.

Additional Skills Qualifications:

  • AutoCAD Coursework: Relevant coursework in AutoCAD from your academic program.

  • Project Experience: Experience with power distribution projects is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Collaborative Office: Work in an open office environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.

  • Fieldwork Opportunities: Engage in a mix of office-based design work and some fieldwork after initial training.

The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
