Who will you be working with?
Join the dynamic Services team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering and product teams. As the Lead Engineer - Reliability, you'll be at the forefront of addressing and solving locomotive reliability issues, contributing significantly to the overall efficiency and success of Wabtec Locomotives fleets.
How will you make a difference?
As the Lead Engineer, you will own solutions management for reliability issues, leading, program managing, and executing on solution development. Your hands-on experience in investigating product issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and applying reliability modeling methods will drive faster and more effective solutions. By systematically tracking and communicating progress, you'll ensure the timely delivery of solutions, meeting or exceeding fleet reliability and availability goals.
What do we want to know about you?
We're seeking a candidate with:
Bachelor's or Master's degree
at least 3 years of engineering experience.
Your technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, controls, or related domains is crucial.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, along with excellent oral and written communication skills, are essential for effective collaboration.
Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time in Kazakhstan is required.
What will your typical day look like?
Your day involves leading and managing reliability projects, conducting root-cause analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on urgent solution development.
You'll communicate progress to all levels of the organization, track field reliability issues, and provide leadership to ensure the successful execution and delivery of solutions.
Your contributions will directly impact the reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness of Wabtec Locomotives fleets.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
Successful candidates will be employed under local employment conditions and must already satisfy local employment/work permit and residency regulations.
