R E West Transportation CDL Truck Driver-Van Division in Ashland City, Tennessee
Positions are available in our Van division. Van drivers deal with dry freight of all kinds (excluding house-hold goods).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Have NO DUI convictions on your driving record in the last 5 years
- Position requiresa DOT physical examination by our Company-specified doctor
- A drug scree is required for this position
- Completion of a company-administered road test
- Meet all DOT qualifications
- Position requires a clear felony background
- Position requiresno misdemeanors in the last 10 years
- No more than four jobs in the past 4 years
- No more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- No serious moving violations (i.e. following too close, erratic driving, etc.) in the past 3 years
- Drivers run to all 48 states and Canada. Position requires a current passport or the ability to obtain.

Training Program: The program is a 6-week course that consists of 3 weeks of instruction and practice on the training yard in Ashland City, TN and 3 weeks of over-the-road training with one of our experienced In-Cab Trainers. After your trainer releases you, the company will assign you your own Freightliner Cascadia with APU and you will go on the road as an OTR Driver.
Van drivers with no experience will start at $.45 cpm - Average 2500 miles/week and out an average of 7-10 days. The company pays for Unload, Layover, Escorted Miles, Border Crossing, and more. Pay Reviews at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year of employment. Annual reviews after your first year.
