Leidos Data Acquisition Specialist in Ashburn, Virginia

Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization Team is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist to join the NOSC Cyber Team.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Cyber is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to DHS networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to DHS information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers, and workstations.

The NOSC Cyber is responsible for the overall security of DHS Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.

Primary Responsibilities and Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Specialist.

• Respond to data acquisition requests from a variety of DHS and non-DHS customers, to include Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of General Counsel (OGC), law enforcement entities, etc.

• Stay up-to-date on new federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the collecting and dissemination of data to requestors

• Work with requestors to capture and develop detailed requirements (governing such aspects as scope, timeframe, etc.), develop request project plans, and identify appropriate data sources to be targeted for each data acquisition request.

• Operate as a liaison between requestors and technical staff supporting relevant data repositories for coordination of requests, production, and delivery of responsive data.

• Utilize eDiscovery and specialized data acquisition suites for data manipulation, reporting, collating, and delivery in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

• Provide customers with regular status updates for their requests and apprise customers and federal management of any outages or disruptions in service that could negatively affect resolution time of data acquisition requests.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
