Position Description The A&T Senior Supervisor oversees the staff, planning, equipment, and processes of a team of welders, fabricators, and pump mechanics.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with EH&S to ensure safety culture is maintained. Manage welders, fabricators, pump mechanics, and test technicians, working closely with manufacturing engineering and design engineering to achieve results. Manage a team of approximately 20 employees across 2 shifts. Data collection to drive improvements in utilization, productivity, and reduced COPQ. Drive results, maintain safety, and continually improve standard operating procedures. Create/update standard work per ISO. Drive OTD results. Work closely with Inventory team to manage and control Work in Process inventory accuracy. Maintain TPMs and enforce 6S procedures. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with at least 2 years managing direct employees; 3 years in a leadership role with at least 2 years managing direct employees with a Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials planning or production control Experience working with customer inspection representatives Experience working in an Engineer to Order / Configure to Order manufacturing environment Understanding of Non-destructive testing techniques LEAN 6 Sigma certification or experience preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering or Operations Management preferred Experience in an ISO9001 certified facility Experience working within a Quality Management System Communication and conflict resolution experience
Physical requirements This job requires a mix of work in an office and factory setting. Indoor factory environment. Sitting, standing, and walking are common. Compensation DetailsAnnual Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
