We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Shift: M-Th, 4:30pm - 3:00am What does the job involve? The Quality Assurance - CMM Inspector 3 inspects machined components, sheet metal components, purchased products and standards, raw materials, assembled products and outside processing for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications. The QA- CMM Inspector 3 provides leadership and training for other CMM Inspectors. What will my responsibilities include? Reads and interprets aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications and technical requirements. Operates CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to dimensionally inspect product. Manually inspects parts using CMM. Interprets CMM results to accurately compare product to engineering drawings/specifications and electronic models. Create and edit CMM programs in both online and offline mode. Accurately compares product to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase order, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment, (e.g., PCM's, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges etc) to accept or reject product to customer engineering requirements. Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing order, processes any necessary rejection documentation, and performs various MRP system functions. Performs Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance. Understands and applies statistical sampling techniques. Audits procedures and processes of shop inspection. Reviews outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish, and verify physical appearance of final product for conformance to engineering specifications. Fully capable of understanding, performing, and completing FAI's in accordance with Company and AS9102 requirements. Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
